I pray 2019 was a blessed year for you and your family and that you at least met some of your personal and/or professional goals. If not, we have 2020 in front of us to accomplish those!

Hill Day, February 12, is just around the corner and then the Annual Meeting, April 3, is shortly after that.

It was an honor and privilege to get to see many of you at the NAND, WTAND and MAND meetings last month and share our successes in TAND.

I would argue that we have the best profession in the world. Think about it – there is absolutely no profession that is beyond our potential to help better health in the community. Every human needs to be nourished in some form or fashion, multiple times each day.

In this season of giving, let me encourage you to do so, and particularly in the area of food. While many of us worry about gaining weight over these next few weeks, many continue to worry about their next meal.

Donate time, finances or food to a worthy cause, individual or family. We’re 1,200 strong, so think of the impact this can have on those less fortunate in our state. Anything helps!

Opportunities to Serve – Survey Available 

If you are interested in volunteering for an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics committee, complete the Opportunities to Serve Survey. This is a great way to get involved and have your voice heard throughout the Academy. The survey is now available and will be available through January 16, 2020.
